Honeymoon Photoshoot in Provence Lavender Fields

A romantic full experience honeymoon session in Provence, captured among lavender fields, charming villages, and the timeless landscapes of the South of France.
A & G came all the way from Israel to celebrate their honeymoon in Provence and capture this beautiful chapter of their love story. We created a romantic full experience session through lavender fields, warm evening light, and the timeless landscapes of the South of France.

Valensole Village

We began their honeymoon photo session in the charming village of Valensole, surrounded by warm Provençal light, stone streets, and the quiet beauty of the South of France.

Immortelle Field

After the village, we continued the session in a golden immortelle field — a soft, poetic setting that brought warmth, texture, and a very unique Provence feeling to their story.

A field of sage

The sage field added a completely different mood to the session — delicate, elegant, and almost cinematic, with soft colors and a quiet editorial feeling.

A sunset session in lavender field

Their honeymoon photoshoot in Provence ended in the most magical way — with a sunset session in a lavender field near Valensole. We carefully chose a lavender location where the moon would rise behind the horizon, adding a breathtaking and cinematic feeling to the images. As the sun was setting, the field was filled with soft golden light, deep lavender tones, and the romantic atmosphere of the South of France. This final part of their full experience session became a beautiful Provence love story, created between the lavender rows, the sunset, and the rising moon.

FAQ

Is sunrise a good time for a photo session in the lavender fields of Provence?
Yes. Sunrise is one of the most peaceful times for a lavender photo session in Provence. The fields are usually quieter, there are fewer visitors, and the light is soft and delicate. It is also more comfortable during the hot summer months, especially with small children.

When is the best time for lavender photos in Provence?
The best time is usually from mid-June to mid-July, depending on the area and the weather. Around Valensole, late June and early July are often the most beautiful weeks for lavender photos.

Where are the best lavender fields for photos in Provence?
The Plateau de Valensole is one of the most iconic areas for lavender photos in Provence. Other beautiful areas include the Luberon and Sault, depending on the season and the timing of the bloom.

Can we do a lavender photo session with a one-year-old child?
Yes. A session with a small child should be simple, calm and flexible. Sunrise can be a very good option because the temperature is softer, the atmosphere is quieter and the light is gentle.
What should we wear for a lavender photo session in Provence?
Soft and natural colours work best: white, ivory, cream, beige, pale blue, muted green, soft yellow and linen tones. Natural fabrics such as linen and cotton photograph beautifully in the lavender fields.

Do you photograph only families in Provence?
No. I photograph portrait sessions, couples, families and travellers in Provence. My focus is on creating timeless, atmospheric images connected to the light, landscape and feeling of the South of France.
